Vita Designata — Design Your Life

Frameworks & Reflective Tools

A framework for examining life more consciously

Vita Designata develops author-created frameworks and reflective tools to help people explore what matters, examine different dimensions of their lives, make more considered choices and design their lives with greater intention.

These resources are designed for reflection, learning and life design. They are not clinical, diagnostic or psychometric instruments, and they are not presented as scientifically validated measures.

V-SPAD-D-REWS™ — Ten Dimensions of Conscious Life Design

V-SPAD-D-REWS™ is Vita Designata’s author-developed framework for examining life across ten interconnected dimensions. It provides a structured way to reflect on where you are, what matters to you, and where greater attention or intentional design may be useful.

Values — What matters most to you and the principles that guide your life.

Self — How you understand yourself, your identity, strengths and evolving sense of who you are.

Purpose — What gives your life direction, meaning and a sense of worthwhile contribution.

Agency — Your capacity to make choices, take action and influence the direction of your life.

Design — How intentionally you shape the structures, priorities and patterns of your life.

Discernment — How you reflect, judge, distinguish and make considered choices.

Relationships — The quality, meaning and role of your connections with other people.

Environment — The physical, social and wider contexts in which you live and how they affect you.

Wellbeing — How you attend to the physical, emotional and practical conditions that support living well.

Stewardship — How you use what you have, contribute beyond yourself and consider what you leave behind.

Using the framework for reflection

V-SPAD-D-REWS™ is not intended to tell you what your life should look like. It provides a structure for asking better questions about the life you are living and the life you may wish to design.

You might use the framework to consider:

  • Where am I currently giving most of my attention?

  • Which dimensions feel strong or well supported?

  • Which dimensions may need greater reflection or attention?

  • Where do my choices align—or conflict—with what matters to me?

  • What might I choose to preserve, change, strengthen or explore?

There are no universally “right” answers. The purpose is to support thoughtful reflection and more conscious choice.

Vita Designata is developing a controlled collection of reflective tools to help people explore different aspects of life design, decision-making and major life transitions.

These tools will build on Vita Designata frameworks and learning resources, while maintaining clear boundaries between personal reflection and clinical, diagnostic or psychometric assessment.

Public access to the separate assessment tools is not yet available. For educational reflection, begin One Considered Step, The Decision Matrix Studio or Running Up That Hill Studio in the Learning Experiences Lab. The Learning Experiences Lab is publicly available.
